Earache

I couldn’t fall asleep last night due to a painful earache in my right ear.  So after writhing in pain for too long, I finally used my phone to search the internet for earache remedies.  The site it gave me had a multitude of options from my medicine cabinet, including Hydrogen Peroxide, mouthwash, vicks vaporub, tiger balm or teething gel.  Just put a little dab of any of the choices mentioned on a cotton ball and stuff the ball in your ear-hole.  Well, I started with the Hydrogen P and nothing was happening.  So I went to plan B, vicks vaporub.  This bottle, as I was told afterwards, is about 20 years old.  Maybe older.  So not knowing that, I jam the cotton ball in my right ear and attempt to fall asleep.  And in a few minutes, the pain was subsiding and I was out.  Now it’s just clogged.  I need to pop my ears!!!  Any suggestions?
